What to expect the first time you open Métra
When you launch Métra for the first time you will be greeted by a two-screen onboarding flow. No account to create, no email to enter.
Screen 1 — Welcome
You will see the Mētra wordmark and a short manifesto about what the app is — and what it isn’t. Read it once. It sets the right expectations.
Tap Inizia (Get started) to continue.
Screen 2 — Your baseline data
Métra asks for two numbers so that it can immediately start making useful predictions:
| Field | Default | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Average cycle length | 28 days | The number of days from the first day of one period to the first day of the next. Most people fall between 21 and 35 days. |
| Typical period duration | 5 days | How many days your period usually lasts. |
Use the − and + buttons to adjust each value. These are just starting points — Métra will refine its predictions automatically as you log more cycles.
Tap Tutto pronto → (All set →) to enter the app.
After onboarding
You land on the Calendar tab. Today’s date is highlighted. The calendar will already show a predicted period window based on the numbers you entered.
From this point on, everything you do is logged locally on your device. Métra never sends this information anywhere.
Can I change these settings later?
Yes. Go to Settings → Notification preferences to update your cycle-length baseline at any time. Predictions update automatically the next time you open the Calendar.
